Emma Langford Signs with Wyoming
Joins Kennedy and Koehler on Cowgirl's roster

Emma Langford signed with the University of Wyoming for the 2008-09 season. Langford, the sister of former Oral Roberts' player Katie Langford, will join fellow Aussies Jade Kennedy and Gemma Koehler on the Cowgirls' roster.

University of Wyoming Cowgirl head basketball coach Joe Legerski said, "We are excited to add Emma Langford to the Wyoming basketball family. She brings great size and skill to the court. We should expect her to come make an immediate impact and contribution to the program."

A four-time All-Australian Junior camp selection while attending the Australian Institute of Sport for two years (2006-08). During that time, she represented the South Australia Country at the National Junior Championships on the Under 16 (2003 and 2004) and Under 18 (2005 and 2006) Teams, while being named a team captain as well. This past year, she led them to a Gold Medal on the U20 Team, and a bronze medal in 2007. She was coached at the Institute by Dean Kinsman, while also being coached by Paul Mescke during her career. Langford was also a member with the AIS WNBL team for the past years. One of four children of Robert and Maxine Langford. She has three siblings, Katie, Chris and Steph. Langford is the fifth student-athlete to sign a letter of intent with the Cowgirls this past year. They signed four during the early signing period. The other signees include Leah Fitzgerald (6-2, Forward/Center, Colorado Springs, Colo.), Brenna Freeze (5-11, Guard, Albuquerque, N.M.), Kristen Scheffler (5-11, Guard, Lovell, Wyo.) and Ashley Sickles (6-1, Forward, Cresco, Iowa).
